To kick off, introducing our CEO!

While pursuing his studies at John Abbott College, Dave was drafted to play in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League during which he split his time between playing hockey and working for a freight forwarding company.

Within the freight forwarding company, Dave held various roles, starting with a position in the warehouse, to operations, to sales to finally holding a sales management position before the company was acquired by a competitor. Subsequent to the acquisition, Dave joined a family business in the heating and ventilation industry. His entrepreneurial spirit and ownership mindset lead him to establish a service division within this family business. Dave’s experience in business ownership and management, as well as his previous experience with the freight forwarding company, was recognized and for over 25 years, Dave Taylor has held top positions, such as COO and CEO, for a large freight broker located in Montréal, Québec.

Dave has been with his high school sweetheart for over 35 years and is a proud father of 3 children and grandfather of 4. He enjoys spending time with his family and being active outdoors.

A non-compete agreement, also known as a non-compete clause or a restrictive covenant, is a type of contract that is signed between an employer and an employee. Its purpose is to prevent the employee from engaging in certain types of competition with the employer for a specified period of time after the employment relationship has ended. Despite the benefits that non-compete agreements offer to employers, they have been the subject of controversy and criticism. Some argue that they limit employee mobility and job opportunities, while others claim that they stifle innovation and entrepreneurship. In some jurisdictions, non-compete agreements are subject to legal limitations or outright bans, while in others they are enforceable to varying degrees. _________________________ Why we do not believe in having non-compete agreements at Total One Logistics? Simply put, w e strongly believe that our employees are the most valuable asset we have.
